Getting up in the morning was a bit of a struggle, and as soon as I got to work there was an offer of coffee, which sounded like a good idea but it just made me jittery. I don't usually work in the Running Room on a Friday so that added to the confusion.
As they are doing an inventory check on Saturday, there were lots of jobs to do involving checking stocks in advance, so I spent most of the morning counting watches. this was fairly tedious but sometime tedious jobs are just perfect. When I checked my phone at lunchtime I had a voicemail message: The restaurant had called to ask where I was as I should be working. I rang back to check as I definitely spoke to them about this and they changed the schedule. I remember because they weren't happy about it. She must have realised since leaving the message as there was no problem when I called. I also confirmed the Sunday shift and she said they wouldn't put me on a Sunday again. hopefully that's what will happen, I need one day off!
it was surprisingly busy in the afternoon with all kinds of issues but I did get to try on some new shoes from the sale room that the assistant manager recommended. I may buy them for work, then I won't have to wear my normal running shoes and "waste" them on non-running.
After work I was going to meet a friend for food. he had found something pretty similar to extra strong mints for me, which is great because I've nearly run out (if anyone is planning on coming to visit, please buy me some!!). Instead of going home and going to bed early like I was planning, we decided to watch a film and drink wine. I feel like I need to take advantage of every opportunity and have as much fun as possible as I'm not here for very long, but this mentality conflicts with my work schedule somewhat.
