Well, it was a struggle getting up in the morning but I made it to Lazia on time at 10am. I thought I'd be the only one there but Michelle was there and surprised to see me. Usually one of us starts at 9:30am, then anyone else starts at 11 or 11:30. The extra sleep would have been handy but there was plenty to do still.
I had arranged to meet a friend for lunch in between Lazia and starting at the Running Room at 5pm but it seems I didn't understand the schedule properly and was down to work til 4:30 there. After texting to apologise and cancel, they then realised that two of us were scheduled which was unnecessary, and there wasn't anything for me to learn so I didn't need to be there. I quickly un-cancelled and went for lunch on Whyte ave at a place I had previously only been in to hand in a resume. This was quite a relief, as working 10-4:30, then 5-9:30 all in one day whilst really tired would have been difficult.
It was a lovely café and I got to have blueberry pie, ticking off another "Canadian dish". There was some free cake at the Running Room too, so that was a bonus.
I feel a bit bad as I keep having to explain that I'm tired because I have to socialise so much and its exhausting having this much fun. woe is me! I don't really think I deserve any sympathy, but I would like to be antisocial for a bit and catch up on sleep.
