Day 45: Things are looking up!

Today I went to Lazia.  it was reasonably quiet for Lazia (so fairly busy), I guess everybody is too stuffed with Thanksgiving turkey to want to go out for lunch, but more importantly, at no point during my shift was anyone horribly sarcastic or mean and no criticism.  I don't know how I escaped this but it was nice!  I also got given an envelope of cash from the tips percentage.  it was $15 and I have no idea if this is good or bad but its all extra money so I can't complain.
I couldn't stay for lunch at lazia as I had a sports massage appointment so I just bought a sandwich en route.  it was actually quite warm out today so it was a nice walk and better than just getting the train straight home.
The massage guy was from Hungary but been in Canada since 1970.  it was more of a relaxing massage than I'm used to, hardly painful at all and he had plinky plinky music on.  I'm sure it's done some good, but I might try a different place next time.  my new manager at the shop said he's been made to cry by his therapist, which sounds more like my kinda thing.  Maybe I'm just used to Gisela and Craig and it's not the same.
In the evening I went to meet Nicole from Australia, who is here as a nanny.  We had some food (mine was ice cream!) and some wine and a chat.  She has some interesting tales to tell!  She also invited me to Banff so I will have to see if I can take time off work.
Whenever I'm walking anywhere I seem to end up frantically texting lots of different people to try and arrange things.  This isn't too much different to back home, but my new phone is so much more unwieldy.
Right, it's really late now and I have to be up early.
