Day 43:Thanksgiving Monday

I got up early today to meet a couchsurfer (and his dog) for a run.  We went along some of the trails starting near my place and found a nice loop.  it's quite undulating, and we came back via a long flight of stairs so it should be pretty good training.  It was below zero and there was mist on the river that looked really pretty.  As its only going to get colder I tried not to wrap up too much, which meant the bottom of my legs below my 3/4 length tights went bright red, and we couldn't stop and walk for too long at any point.
It was really good to have company, I just wouldn't have gone otherwise and I am really suffering from lack of exercise at the mo.  I have been invited for a run on Friday evening with some of the Iron Horse people as well, so I'm looking forward to that.

I made it just about on time to the Running Room, (it took me a long time to warm up in the shower) and there were quite a lot of us working that day so we had some extra chores to do to pass the time.  I volunteered to clean the fridge in the staff room for example.  I was feeling quite sleepy so popped over to Remedy café at lunch to get a chai tea, then accidentally bought a slice of cheesecake too!  Aimee came into the shop in the afternoon as her Aunty, Uncle and cousin that she's staying with have signed up to a run clinic and needed to buy shoes.
I had arranged to meet up with a couchsurfer after work, but she couldn't make it in the end.  This was probably a good thing as it gave me time to buy some groceries and get some chores done instead.
I like writing this in bed under my duvet, and Oscar likes to attack my feet!
