I left a bit early this morning so I could go register for health care before work. It was a fairly slow day in the shop. Some rearranging bras again and helping with shoes. I tried on a few different pairs of shoes myself as this will help me learn the differences between them, and also because its fun and gives my shoes a bit of a break. As it was a bit chilly in the shop I also tried on a few of the jackets, which will help me decide which one to buy for myself for winter running.
I found out that I have been scheduled some extra shifts over the next couple of weeks. The manager did not know about my second job (my bad) and there are a few clashes that I will now have to negotiate. I am not looking forward to that conversation at the restaurant tomorrow! I think it's workable but i'll have to get in early tomorrow to talk it through. Now I will be working 11:30-2:30 at the restaurant and 4-9:30pm at the shop so it'll be a loooong day. I think this is just due to a few people leaving the shop at the same time so hopefully I won't have too many days like this.
After work I met Thea, a Danish couchsurfer studying polar bears at the uni, for dinner and it sounds like we may go and watch some uni ice hockey! it was good to compare stories of how weird Canadians are.
Right, I best try to get some sleep before my crazy work day tomorrow.
a university course on polar bears? wish i'd known.
